Karmela Mavrochi
KARMELA MAVROCHI, qualified as a Lawyer in the Athens Court of First Instance in 1997 and in the Supreme Court of Greece in 2008.
She worked as a house lawyer for a ship-manager of up to 15 bulk carriers until 2002 when she joined “COSTAS GEORGOPOULOS & PARTNERS” where she is now a partner.
Most of Karmela’s practice is in the shipping industry, including charterparty cases, casualty work, personal injury, sea pollution, cargo disputes, marine insurance, sale and purchase and ship arrest and attachment. She is usually instructed by P&I Clubs, international law firms and Greek Owners. She has acted for the Greek State Gas Company for an international procurement for the chartering of an LNG carrier.
